The Swans Reserves continued their good form, beating an improving Tuggeranong side by 77 points on Saturday at the SCG prior to the Swans vs. Richmond game.

Tuggeranong started well and continued their good football into the second quarter, however after two late goals to Kristin Thornton in the first quarter and another to Sam Rowe, the Swans led by 20 points at the end of the first term.
It was not until half time that the Swans took complete control of the game. After kicking four goals to three in the second quarter and extending their lead to 26 points, the Swans stepped up a notch, blowing the game apart with six goals to Tuggeranong’s two in the third quarter to lead by 53 points at the last break.
The Swans continued their third quarter form in the last kicking another six goals with two each to Earl Shaw and Tim Schmidt while allowing Tuggeranong only three to run out winners by 77 points.
David Spriggs was the Swans’ best for another week with 17 kicks, eight handballs and seven marks playing on the ball, while Paul Currie at centre half back, Thornton at half forward and Kieren Jack playing on the ball and in the forward line also made the list.
Paul Chambers, on return from a thumb injury, contributed in the ruck and Schmidt had yet another high possession game with 22 kicks and six handballs.
The Swans Reserves now have a week off before taking on Ainslie at the SCG on Saturday August 5, with the game starting at 3.50pm.
