Exciting young Swan Gary Rohan will undergo an arthroscope on his right knee tomorrow.

Rohan has been listed as indefinite on the Swans injury list since a training mishap in the lead up to the round six match against Carlton.

Swans physiotherapist Matt Cameron told SwansTV that Rohan’s knee had shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, but a flap of cartilage had become dislodged and would require the scope to remove it.

“He had a bit of cartilage damage behind his knee cap. We were hoping for that to heal naturally, but it’s starting to float around a little bit so we need to go in and remove it,” Cameron said.

Rohan is expected to be available in the next four to six weeks.

In other injury news, Kieren Jack will have to wait at least one more week before returning from his ankle injury.

“He is very close. He is running this week and so we are hoping to have him training next week,” Cameron said.

Ruckman Mike Pyke is recovering well from a quad strain and should be available for selection next week, along with defender Matt Spangher.

Youngster Jed Lamb has been cleared to make his return to football, after missing two matches with a minor hamstring injury.
