Round 20 v Collingwood
The Sydney Swans nine-game winning streak came to an end at ANZ Stadium when long-time tormentors Collingwood claimed an eight-point victory in round 20.
Despite an exceptional effort from Swans midfielder Josh Kennedy, who notched up 40 possessions and eight tackles for the match and scored a ‘perfect 50’ from the coaches, the Swans inefficiency in front of goal cost the team victory.
The Swans had 25 scoring shots to the Magpies 18, but were able to convert just nine goals from those opportunities.
In a match that see-sawed throughout, Collingwood were able to fight back from a 17-point deficit late in the third term to run away with the win.
Lewis Roberts-Thomson was the Swans only multiple goal-kicker with two for the match.
