Sydney Swan Patrick Veszpremi found out a little more about himself when he visited the Sydney Children’s Hospital with teammate Nick Smith on Wednesday, he shares the same birthday with the Simpsons.
The 20-year-old teamed up with Homer and Bart Simpson in the Starlight room to spend the morning with children from the hospital.
The kids had a great time talking to their favourite Swans idols and also enjoyed getting involved in the fun activities of the day.
One highlight was Veszpremi’s rap about Captain Starlight, the magical leader that brings smiles and laughter to ill children.
The kids took the opportunity to have a photo with the Swans players, Homer and Bart and to get a few items signed.
Following the morning Veszpremi and Smith visited some of the kids in their hospital beds.
