The Sydney Swans launched one of its highly anticipated advertising campaigns on Wednesday afternoon, and it will be hard to miss in 2007.
The Swans have decked out an STA bus!
It carries the images of Barry Hall, Tadhg Kennelly and Brett Kirk on one side and Leo Barry, Adam Goodes and Jude Bolton on the other with the banner of "Bring It On! Sydney Swans in 2007."
The bus has now started its eight week timetable from Waverley Depot on route to the city and will then take on various other routes around Sydney until 19 August 2007.
The Club hopes it will further increase the awareness of the Swans.
"We see the bus as a fantastic opportunity to reinforce our brand in the Sydney market place," Swans Media and PR manager Stephen Brassel said.
"With our three captains along with Tadhg, Goodesy and Jude out there on the streets of Sydney it can only benefit the club as we endeavour to fill Telstra Stadium and the SCG during the year."
Bolton held a media conference shortly after the bus was unveiled and felt a touch awkward with it being the backdrop.
"It's a little embarrassing. I agreed to it a few weeks ago and then not knowing it was going to be parked outside the club for everyone to see, I thought it would be on some unknown route out in the west," Bolton joked at Lakeside Oval opposite the SCG.
"But it comes up well and it's part of the branding and getting the name of the Swans throughout Sydney."
The bus also celebrates the Swans/QBE 20-year partnership.
