It was my first senior game on the weekend and it was very exciting for me and my family.

A big group of Jetta’s came over from my home town of Bunbury in WA to watch the game on Saturday night. There was my mum, Francis, my dad Peter, my four brothers Peter, Graham, Aaron and Brandon, and my little sister Becky. And then there was also my two cousins, and my mum’s sister.

They all sat together and made signs to hold up during the game, saying “Jetstar’’, and a few of them were wearing badges with my name and number on them.

Actually I bought the badges for them before the game! It was pretty funny going to the stall outside the ground, asking for Lewis Jetta badges. It felt good.

There were only four left, so we bought them all. My parents walked around the whole ground trying to find more, but there weren’t any.

In the rooms before the game I wasn’t really nervous, just wanting to get out there. The coaches gave me simple instructions. They said just go and get a kick and have a run.

It was really disappointing to lose but I felt my own game was ok. I was a bit angry that I didn’t kick a goal when I had the chance. And there was another kick to Kieren Jack that I shanked. My night was a bit like the team’s night. We had enough of the ball but we just didn’t use it well enough.

On Sunday I spent more time with my family, and they came down to Coogee Beach where the team had a recovery session. My dad was lying down on the grass, it was so warm and sunny and he loved it. My whole family didn’t want to leave Sydney, but they had to go back home yesterday. As I said, it was an exciting weekend for the Jetta’s!
