Daniel Bradshaw has undergone knee surgery today after scans revealed cartilage was floating in his knee.

The new Swan had an arthroscope this morning to remove the debris.

He will be able to resume running in 2-3 weeks and is on track to be fit to play round one of the season proper.

“Being an experienced player, Daniel should come around quickly and doing the operation now means his season won’t be unduly interrupted,” Coach Paul Roos said.

The Sydney Swans play their first pre-season game against Carlton at Blacktown Olympic Park on Saturday February 20.
