Swans to put on Melbourne clinic
Sydney Swans players will stay back after the game against St Kilda to host a junior clinic in Albert Park on Sunday...
Saturday evening’s game against St Kilda won’t be the only Sydney Swans’ spectacle in Melbourne this weekend.
The following morning, the players will be up bright and early for the 2012 Sydney Swans Melbourne Junior Clinic, held at Lindsay Hassett Oval, Albert Park.
Sydney Swans junior members of all ages are encouraged to come along and take part in handballing, goal kicking, marking and tackling activities with Swans senior players at the clinic.
The Volkswagen Kicking Challenge will also be up and running on the day, allowing junior members to put their skills to the test.
Swans’ midfielder Jude Bolton said he is looking forward to being a part of the Swans Melbourne Junior Clinic.
“It’s great to be able to go and see the fans in Melbourne,” Bolton said.
“We’ve got a really passionate bunch of South Melbourne Swans supporters down there.
“It’s great to be able to turn up after hopefully a win and spend some time with the kids down there.”
Registrations will be taken on the day between 8:15-8:45am, with the one-hour clinic beginning at 9:00am.
