It has been a while since we have heard from Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt. Last time we checked in, he was in Alice Springs and in the early stages of his ‘Great Australian Doorstep’ trip around Australia.

Well he, along with wife Sheree and their kids, have finished filming the first series. As you read, he is sitting back on the family farm in New Zealand, milking cows and enjoying the quiet life before they head back to Australia to start filming for series two.

Series two, which commences filming in late April, will see them travel from Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road then up through the Flinders Ranges into the outback via Broken Hill, Birdsville and then reaching Cape York in the north. They will then travel back down the Coast to finish up in Canberra and if all goes well, attend one of the Swans homes games to get their dose of footy action.

If you live along the trip plan of Spida and the Great Australian Doorstep expedition, email info@greataustraliandoorstep.com with your details and they may just call in for a visit.

All the adventure of the first series is available on DVD; it includes the 13 episodes plus all the bloopers. For more information go to www.greataustraliandoorstep.com.
