The exhibition was launched last Wednesday night with Swans Chairman Andrew Pridham and CEO Andrew Ireland joining guests including members of the Blood Brothers supporter group and club great Michael O’Loughlin.
The free exhibition is being supported by the Swans Foundation and proceeds from works sold will go towards the Foundation’s support of the Swans.
Featuring original paintings and prints of some of the club’s great icons and legends, the exhibition showcases a specially drawn set of etchings of Bob Skilton, Bob Pratt and Roy Cazaly, an amazing limited edition poster of the Swans Best and Fairest Champions since 1926, a poster of our Brownlow Medallists, plus rare photographic prints that date back as far 1924.
As part of the exhibition, portraits of club greats Michael O’Loughlin and Adam Goodes were commissioned. All proceeds from the paintings, by Melbourne based contemporary artist Dawn Csutoros, will go towards the Goodes-O’Loughlin Foundation.
At last Wednesaday night’s launch, the O’Loughlin portrait was snapped up, but the Goodes work still remains for sale, along with many other works.
The exhibition will run until May 18 and is open Thursday and Friday from 2pm-6pm and Saturday from 12-3pm. Entry is free.
