Sydney Swans co-captain Dane Rampe remains in the running to win the inaugural Carey-Bunton Medal recognising the best NSW-bred player in the competition. 

At the halfway mark of the season Rampe is fourth on the overall leaderboard for the award with 16 votes, behind Giant Harry Perryman (18 votes), fellow Swans Isaac Heeney (19 votes) and Gold Coast player Jarrod Witts (27 votes).

Defender Callum Mills is the next-best placed Swans player sitting in seventh position with 10 votes. 

Sydney co-captain Luke Parker was the only Swans player to receive votes in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year Award in Round 9. 

Parker received one vote for his 27-disposal performance against St Kilda on Saturday afternoon.
