Seven Sydney Swans players polled votes in the final two rounds of the home-and-away season in the AFL Coaches Association voting.
Luke Parker’s best on ground nine votes against Brisbane in Round 17 catapulted him into 11th overall in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year award.
Parker, the highest placed Swan, finished on 44 votes. The eventual winner, Brisbane Lions midfielder Lachie Neale, took out the award with 93 votes.
Parker, Josh Kennedy (5 votes) and Ryan Clarke (1 vote) were the vote getters for the match against the Lions.
Kennedy (4 votes), Tom Papley (3 votes), Jordan Dawson (3 votes) and Callum Mills (1 vote) gathered votes in the final match of the home-and-away season against Geelong.
Meanwhile, despite not having played since Round 12, Dane Rampe has finished third in the Carey-Bunton Medal recognising the best NSW-bred player.
Rampe finished the season with 20 votes, behind Jarrod Witts from the Gold Coast Suns who received 31 votes, and Geelong’s Tom Hawkins, who took out the award with 35 votes.
Fellow Swans Isaac Heeney finished 5th, Callum Mills 7th, and Nick Blakey 12th.
