In Part 3 of Goodesy's Great Adventure, Swans star Adam Goodes talks about returning to training after his jet-setting break...
So, with trips to Sri Lanka and Ireland under his belt, Goodes returned to Australia.
One wonders after such a busy time abroad, has the Swans co-captain returned to Australia and the Swans feeling rested?
“I definitely feel like I’ve had enough holiday. I’ve had ten weeks off. I went to both Grand Finals, spent some time at home, and although Sri Lanka was a working trip, it was a still a place I’d never been to and a culture I’d never experienced before.
Goodes returned to the training track this week, and although it is still early days, the veteran of more than 10 pre-season campaigns appears to be fighting fit - something he attributes in part to a new found hobby.
“I got back to Australia and had a two week fitness program to stick to before returning to the Club and I was really diligent with that,” Goodes said.
I just took up Bikram yoga for those two weeks and it is something I’ll continue to do for the rest of the pre-season because I really enjoy doing it, and will certainly incorporate it into my program.”
