The Sydney Swans match committee have today confirmed Nick Malceski in the final 22-play team list for Sunday's clash with Essendon at ANZ Stadium.

Malceski made it through a vigourous training session on Friday afternoon, and confirmed his place in the Swans' best 22.

"Nick was very good tonight.  He did everything we wanted him to do," said coach Paul Roos on Friday afternoon.

"Nathan Gibbs [the Swans' doctor] and Matt Cameron [the Swans' Physiotherapist and Rehabilitation Co-ordinator] have ticked him off from a medical point-of-view, and from a selection point-of-view, he's in the 22, so he'll be playing on Sunday."

The Swans made one other change, with Luke Ablett returning to the side after missing round seven due to a calf injury.

Ablett and Malceski will replace Ben Mathews and Ed Barlow in the side
