George Hewett, Josh Kennedy and Zak Jones all polled AFL Coaches’ Association’s Champion Player of the Year votes in the Sydney Swans’ win over the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Saturday.
Hewett recorded 28 possessions, 10 clearances, seven inside 50s and five tackles to earn a Swans-high six votes.
Kennedy finished with 34 touches, seven clearances and seven tackles to receive two votes, while Jones collected one vote for a stand-out performance marked with 25 disposals and seven rebound 50s.
Brisbane’s Dayne Beams (10 votes), Mitch Robinson (four), Darcy Gardiner (three), Stefan Martin (three) and Harris Andrews (one) earned the remainder of the votes.
