Jack racked up another 27 possessions in Saturday's comprehensive victory over Hawthorn after the SCG, and after the game he told sydneyswans.com.au he was relishing his new role.
"I've played on some really good players in the past and they have shown me a few tricks and how to get the footy," Jack said. "I think I'm starting to show a bit of that and winning my own footy, which is what the team needs.
"You want the ball in your hands and [to be] making decisions."
Heading into the finals with confidence should not be a problem for either Jack or the Swans if they continue to run hard and cut teams up through the middle as they did to the Hawks.
Jack was delighted with the team's persistence over four quarters, and said the team had learned its lesson from last week's heavy defeat to Geelong.
"I think we executed really well through the middle of the ground this week," he said.
"We were going through the review of last week and there was a lot of poor skill errors and poor decisons that we made. Today the boys really dug in and we were able to hurt them on the scoreboard.
There will be no rest for the Swans heading into the finals as they next face two top eight sides in Fremantle and the Western Bulldogs, before a final-round clash with the Brisbane Lions.
"It is a really tough draw but if we are going to play finals those are the sorts of teams we have to beat," Jack said.
"There is no better way to go into it I think and if we make the finals we are going to go in there with some confidence and some form."
