Round 2 v Fremantle
In the Sydney Swans first home game of the season, Lewis Roberts-Thomson celebrated his 150th match with a victory but the Swans were made to work for it.
Leading by 45 points early in the third quarter, the Dockers responded with six unanswered goals to reduce the margin to 11 points.
When the Swans needed to stop the Dockers’ momentum, their milestone man ‘LRT’ stood up to lay a crucial tackle on Adam McPhee which resulted in a goal to co-captain Adam Goodes.
The Swans then steadied to win by 13 points and recorded back-to-back victories to start the season.
Josh Kennedy (36 disposals) was again influential, while Lewis Jetta and Sam Reid (including a 65 metre effort) kicked three goals apiece.
