The 2024/25 ARA First Nations Academy, has returned for it’s third year, with now over 230 participants across the program. We visited a Coffs Harbour session in late 2024 to learn about the workshops, their importance and how the sessions have provided an opportunity for the participants to reconnect with culture.
The ARA First Nations Academy, has seen increases in participation across all five hubs over the past three seasons. Hear about the activities during cultural week in Port Macquarie, the growth in the participants and building and creating a community amongst the First Nations Academy participants.
Late last year, Sydney Swans players and staff took part in a Study Tour in Doha, experiencing firsthand the unique culture and world-class hospitality that Qatar has to offer. As part of the club’s partnership with Qatar Airways, players and staff undertook historical and cultural experiences, visited some of Doha’s favourite tourist destinations and experienced training, educational and professional development opportunities.
