The annual Swans Red Day will take place this weekend when we host Fremantle at Metricon Stadium in Round 19 on Sunday, July 25.
Red Day is a celebration of the Sydney Swans long-standing charity partnership with Redkite and will be a great day in support of an amazing Australian charity.
Since 2001, Swans players including the likes of Brett Kirk, Rhyce Shaw and Harry Cunningham have supported families dealing with childhood cancer by participating in family days, visits to oncology wards and other Redkite events.
This Red Day, the Sydney Swans are showing children with cancer we're on their team! We have been on Redkite’s team for 21 years, supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer and we are asking our footy family to stand with us and show children with cancer we’re on their team.
We are encouraging our footy family to show their support by donating online today.
5,000 Australians will be impacted by childhood cancer this year. Our charity partner Redkite provides practical, emotional and financial support for families facing childhood cancer, so they don’t have to face it alone.
We are building a wall of support with 5,000 kites to show our support for every person impacted this year, and we need your help!
This Red Day, we’re asking our footy family to buy a virtual kite to help us celebrate our 21 year milestone by raising $50,000 for Redkite.
