More than 250 kids joined the entire Sydney Swans Round 21 team at Sunday’s Melbourne Swans Squad Footy Clinic.
All the big names were in the heart of South Melbourne, showing the Club’s junior members a thing or two before putting them through their paces in drills which focused on the quintessential skills of the game.
Split into groups based on age, kids honed their talents in a range of disciplines including goal kicking, marking, tackling and handballing.
Dan Hannebery and Callum Mills demonstrated how to fire off the perfect handball, Heath Grundy showed the juniors the perfect way to take a mark, while who better to learn the craft of goal kicking from than Lance Franklin and Isaac Heeney?
Even the players admitted to learning a few things as the kids jumped at the chance to mingle with their heroes.
Cyggy made his way around giving every member of the clinic a high-feather before the players spent some time saying goodbye before jumping on the bus back to the airport!
The clinic, exclusive to Junior or Swans Squad members and is an annual event.
