Another pre-season, another first place in the 'welcome back' 2km time trial for 28-year old defender Robbie Fox.

Going into his sixth preseason, Fox, who is known for his high level endurance capabilities, once again impressed as the whole squad returned to Lakeside Oval on Monday morning.

Just behind Fox was 20-year old Dylan Stephens who is looking to add to his 15 senior games in the red white in season 2022. Ollie Florent, Ben Ronke and Errol Gulden also impressed in the time trial.

Fox, who played 15 games in season 2021, said he was happy with his efforts on the track today with a lot of his time during the off-season break dedicated to finishing his Bachelor of Education degree.

"I was pretty pleased with my effort today, I’ve had a busy off-season finishing off my University degree, so to run a good time was a huge relief," Fox said.

"This off-season I had a lot more challenges, so just getting my training done before and after placement was required. 

"It was only my first session back, but the boys are looking good, there's a lot of numbers on the track, which is always a good sign."
