The Sydney Swans have announced a new sponsor this season - Four’N Twenty, makers of Australia’s favourite pie.

Four’N Twenty General Manager Marketing, Mark Connolly, said the company has signed a 5-year sponsorship agreement with the Swans.

Four’N Twenty became the pie of choice served at the SCG last year, achieving instant popularity with Sydney fans.

“Sydney fans have really taken to Four’N Twenty at the footy and we’re delighted to be partnering with the Swans through this sponsorship - not only at the SCG, but by focusing on their positive community program - via local Footy Clubs and Schools throughout Sydney and northern NSW.

“An average of 1 in 3 fans at an SCG game eat a Four’N Twenty, making meat pies even more popular in Sydney than in Melbourne, where the average consumption at the MCG is 1 pie to every 4 fans. A Four’n Twenty Pie at the footy….it really is part of the experience.

“We’re really looking forward to a great ongoing relationship with the Swans and their fans,” Mr Connolly said.

Sydney Swans senior coach, John Longmire, thanked Four’N Twenty for their sponsorship and said he’d always loved Four’N Twenty pies.

“Anyone who knows me well knows that I’ve got a keen appetite and there’s nothing better than a pie when you’re at the footy,’’ Longmire said.

“I’m a bit busy these days to tuck into a pie during a game, so I’m urging all Swans fans to have a Four’N Twenty for me while they watch us play.’’
