“His VFL form as been strong in the last couple of years and we feel as though he’s ready to take the next step at AFL level.

Warner said he’s very grateful to the club, to have secured his future until at least 2027.

“It’s huge. I’ve been at the club for a few years now so to continue here, it’s definitely a privilege,” said Warner.

“Coxy has been really good. He’s always backing me in, always pushing me to take on the game, and I’ve felt confident off the back of that. My forward role is quite team based so to continue to do that will stand me in good stead.

“I’m very thankful to the club for giving me this opportunity.”
