General overview - Round 9 v Essendon
No significant concerns from the game. Everyone got through the game unscathed. We had a couple of corks to manage in the game, but expect everyone to be available for our next match against Carlton. The VFL had a practice match against Essendon on Lakeside Oval on Saturday afternoon. All players completed the game without concern, although there was some increased cramp and fatigue as a result of the heat conditions the match was played in.
Angus Sheldrick
Just over 3 weeks since his operation. His strength is progressing well and continuing to be a focus of his rehabilitation. He will aim to commence running next week.
Harry Cunningham
Harry has settled really well. He is focussing on his strength and abdominal control in the gym, and commenced running today. He completed an introductory run without any concerns.
Sam Naismith
Sam had been progressing well with his right knee ACL rehabilitation but had some left knee pain when building his running volumes. He subsequently had a small procedure on his left knee to debride the cartilage in his knee. We expect him to recommence his ACL rehabilitation in the coming fortnight.
