Get the latest on the injured roster with updates on Josh Kennedy, Colin O'Riordan, and the players undergoing AFL Health and Safety Protocols.
General Overview
No injury concerns out of either the AFL or VFL games from the weekend. Angus Sheldrick returned from his knee surgery in the VFL on modified game time, and will complete a full game this weekend.
Josh Kennedy
Josh continues to progress in his return from his hamstring injury. He has returned to modified training with the group, and will look to sprint this week as a key part of his rehabilitation.
Marc Sheather
Marc was reviewed by the surgeon last week. He has been taken out of a cast and put in a to moon boot, which he will remain in for approximately four weeks until his next review.
Sam Naismith
Sam continues his rehab progression from his ACL operation. He has commenced change of direction work and some introductory skills with the rehab group.
Colin O’Riordan
Colin had been managing some hip and groin pain in the weeks leading up to and over the BYE. Unfortunately, his pain was aggravated after the match against Port Adelaide and worsened following our main training session last week.
Colin will work closely with the medical team to determine the best management and return to play plan.
Harry Cunningham & Justin McInerney
Harry & Justin unfortunately missed the match v St Kilda on the weekend due to AFL Health and Safety Protocols. We expect them to return to training this week
