We’re counting down to our women’s team running out for their FIRST game at North Sydney Oval this weekend.

We take on St Kilda on Saturday, August 27 at 5:10pm in a history making match.

Ahead of the game, photographer Phil Hillyard has captured the team at Barangaroo – in what will no doubt become an iconic image in similar fashion to the image of our men’s team on the steps of the Sydney Opera House in 1982.

The site was chosen not only for its stunning backdrop but also for its connection to First Nations culture.

Barangaroo is named after an Aboriginal woman described as a powerful leader of her community. You can read more on her story HERE

There will be HEAPS to see and do ahead of the match. Gates open at St Leonards Park next to North Sydney Oval at 2pm, with food trucks, DJs and handball targets and face painting to name a few of the activities on offer.

Gates to North Sydney Oval open at 3:30pm with first bounce at 5:10pm.

First only happens once so be with us from the start. AFLW memberships are just $75 for the season.
