Sydney Swans co-captain Luke Parker has claimed eight votes from the coaches while James Rowbottom, Jake Lloyd and Callum Mills have polled three votes following Sydney's Qualifying Final victory over Melbourne in a convincing 22-point victory.

Parker led from the front with a team high 25 disposals, 11 tackles, 9 clearances and 1 goal in the win claiming eight votes.

Rowbottom impressed with 24 disposals, 8 tackles, 1 goal while Lloyd kicked two goals, 25 disposals in a strong performance as they both polled three votes.

Co-captain Callum Mills also polled three votes with 23 disposals, 11 tackles and one goal.

The AFL Coaches Association Gary Ayres Award is presented in recognition of the player who has been adjudged as the best player throughout the AFL Finals series, as voted by the coaches on a weekly basis throughout the duration of the AFL Finals Series. 

Votes are issued after every game of the AFL Finals series by the competing coaches, with each coach providing their 5-4-3-2-1 for the match. 

From 2022 any AFL Grand Final votes issued will receive 1.5 times loading.
