The QBE Sydney Swans Academy Under 18 boys had and outstanding win on the weekend against the Brisbane Lions Academy on the Gold Coast.
Under 18 Coach Mark McVeigh said he was impressed by the team's effort to secure their second win of the Coates Talent League, winning 8.13.61 to the Lions' 3.6.24.
"It was a game where we lead for the whole day and we were never really threatened at any stage of the game," McVeigh said.
"All our players made their mark when they had to which of course led to a very even performance from our boys."
Some standout performers for the side were Indhi Kirk, Max Rider, Caiden Cleary, Joe Harrison, Lachlan Cabor and 16-year old Noah Chamberlain.
Next up for the Under 18 team in the Coates League is a contest against Tasmania on Saturday May 20 at Blacktown International Sportspark, first bounce 5pm.
