This weekend, when the Sydney Swans faced West Coast at the SCG, the annual QBE Foundation Goals for Good made it’s return, with an astonishing $93,000 dollars donated.

For every Swans goal scored during the Round 15 clash, and the Swans running riot on Saturday afternoon with 31-goals, the QBE Foundation donated $3000, with funds raised to be split between QBE’s incredible community partners, including Australian Red Cross, Foodbank, Orange Sky, R U OK?, Save the Children Australia, Stars Foundation and the Swans Foundation!

The $93,000 donation has now doubled the amount donated by the QBE Foundation over the past two years, with $70,000 donated over the past two years. The donation is part of QBE’s continued support towards its community partners and their work in supporting communities before, during and after tough times.

The donations will see over $13,000 donated to the Swans Foundation.

Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley said the initiative was a great opportunity to come together and celebrate the work of the organisations involved.

“QBE Foundation’s Goals for Good initiative highlights our shared commitment to our communities, and we are so proud to have been involved this weekend. For the team to have equalled the second-highest goal tally in our club’s history is incredible and we’re thrilled to see a huge $93,000 going to charity.

“On behalf of the club and the Sydney Swans Foundation, I would like to thank QBE for their ongoing support and generosity.”
