Rebecca Privitelli is just the latest Sydney Swans star to earn a Goal of the Year nomination after smart play in Round 8.
Early in the first quarter Privitelli picked up a bouncing ball near the boundary, quickly snapping it over her left shoulder in a moment of brilliance. It was the first of many goals for the Sydney Swans with Privitelli becoming one of nine players to slot a major against the Western Bulldogs.
The star forward has enjoyed career-best form in 2023, leading the league for marks inside 50 as well as a career-high goal count of 11.
The 28-year-old also earned a Mark of the Year nomination in Round 5 for a spectacular overhead mark against Carlton.
Privitelli joined the Sydney Swans inaugural AFLW side in 2022 after one season with Carlton and four at GWS.
