The AFL have today confirmed the 2024 Smithy's VFL season fixture with Swans members and fans provided some great opportunities to see the team up close this season.
The VFL side will feature in three home double headers in 2024 along with two preseason practice matches against the GWS Giants and Brisbane at Lakeside Oval and Blacktown International Sportspark respectively.
Arrive early ahead of our senior side’s Round 4 clash with the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday, April 21 and our Round 13 clash with Geelong on Sunday, June 9 as the VFL side will be in action, right across the road of the SCG, at Lakeside Oval ahead of first bounce.
When the Swans host GWS at the SCG in Round 8, the VFL side will also host their cross-town rivals in a curtain closer from the same venue at 5:15pm. Stay around after the Sydney Derby to see the young red and white in action.
Members and fans in Sydney can also see the VFL side in action in a curtain-raiser at GIANTS Stadium on Saturday, June 22 ahead of the senior sides clash with GWS in Round 15.
Please note from Rounds 14 onwards, opponents have been confirmed while location and times are still to be determined.
The VFL Grand Final will be hosted on Sunday, September 22.
VFL head coach Damian Truslove will mentor the Sydney Swans again this season.
The VFL fixture news follows on last week's announcement that the Sydney Swans will also feature in the VFLW competition in 2024.

All matches in the 2024 Smithy’s VFL and VFLW seasons will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App. Smithy’s VFL broadcast partner, the Seven Network, will broadcast select matches live and free on the Seven Network in Victoria and on 7plus nationally.

Live scoring and stats will be available via both the AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
Ticketing
Where Smithy’s VFL matches are ticketed, entry is $10 for adults, $5 for concession holders and kids under 15 are free. Some venues don't charge for entry. AFL ticketing prices apply for VFL matches played as curtain-raisers and curtain-closers to AFL matches.
Entry to VFLW matches is free. Where venues host VFL and VFLW double-headers, entry fees will apply after half time of the VFLW match if played first.
