Joel Amartey has polled the full coaches votes for the first time this season after a massive display in Round 14. The 24-year-old put on a clinic last Saturday night, kicking nine goals from 10 disposals to secure a win over the Crows.

He earned 10 coaches votes, plus praise from the senior coach in a press conference on Monday. John Longmire said, “It was a great effort, there was no doubt about that. In the second quarter he kept us in the game, his presence in front of the ball was enormous, and he kicked so accurately."

The key forward was closely followed by Brodie Grundy who put on an impressive display in the ruck, nabbing eight votes for his efforts. The ruckman finished Round 14 with 49 hit outs, 31 disposals and eight score involvements.

Isaac Heeney and Errol Gulden earned five votes apiece thanks to another consistent appearance in the midfield. Heeney was hugely important on the scoreboard kicking one major and finishing the game with 11 score involvements. Gulden was dangerous across the ground with a game high 35 disposals and six tackles.
