Corey Warner has come out of the block firing on day one of the 2025 pre-season. The Sydney Swans returned to training on Monday, November 25 with junior players put straight into fitness training.

The 21-year-old lead the pack with last year's draftee Caiden Cleary closely behind in second before young gun Matthew Roberts stormed home in third place. Head of Athletic Performance Shane Lehane said the boys have returned in good form.

"The boys have come back in pretty good shape, which is pleasing to see. There are always nerves around the time trial, especially the first session up. But we got some good results there today," Lehane said.

"Matty Roberts was a standout; Caiden Cleary was very good, and Corey Warner came in in first place. He obviously had a good off-season period"

1 - 4 year players return to training this week with senior players expected back from December 2. In the fold is AFL Draftees Jesse Dattoli, Ned Bowman, Riak Andrew and Riley Bice, and rookies Ben Paton and Blake Leidler. Today marks the first of a four-week block before the squad return on January 9.
