Sydney Swans Riley Bice has stunned the AFL football world with his impact running out of defence and pin-point delivery in his first three appearances for the club.

He scored 7 votes by the AFL Coaches for his outstanding performance in the Swans’ 65-point thrashing of North Melbourne in their round 4 clash of the 2025 season at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

Bice had 20 kicks, 15 marks and 6 handballs to play an instrumental role in the under-manned Swans win over the Kangaroos.

The former St Patricks junior had put together a solid body of work in country footy prior to his AFL debut playing 91 games for the Murray Magpies in the Hume league, 25 games for the Murray Bushrangers and 90 matches for Albury including the 2023 Ovens and Murray grand final defeat to the Stevie Johnson coached Yarrawonga.

Meanwhile, the “Moama Kid” Lachie Schultz scored the maximum votes of 10 for his inspiring game against Carlton at the MCG last Friday night. Geelong NSW team-mates Connor O’Sullivan got his first votes for the season as did Shaun Mannagh who scored 4 votes in his first game for the season. Gold Coast ruck Jarrod Witts still leads with 12 votes.
