The remarkable feats of Lance Franklin on Friday night have been recognised in this week’s Goal of the Year nominations.
Buddy’s final term bonanza was a sight to marvel for all football fans as he showcased his full array of skills.
It was his third goal of the night that captured the attention of the judges in the Coates Hire Goal of the Year competition as he ran along the wing before finishing with class from 60 metres out.
Franklin’s effort was the first Goal of the Year nomination for the Swans in season 2017.
Franklin will be up against Western Bulldogs opponent Jake Stringer and Carlton’s Matthew Wright who were also nominated from the weekend of football.
