Gary Rohan's goal in Friday night's win against North Melbourne is one of three majors in the running for this week's Goal of the Year nomination.
Rohan swooped on a loose ball inside the Swans' forward 50 during the Round 10 encounter at the SCG. He was, thanks to his speed, first to the ball with Roos defender Scott Thompson right on his hammer.
Rohan, described by commentator Bruce McAvaney during the post-goal celebrations as having that "X-Factor", summed up the situation quickly to side step Thompson, straighten up and send the footy home.
And didn't he love it.
His goal, while brilliant, is up against some stiff opposition with the ever mercurial Eddie Betts kicking two ripping goals in Adelaide's win against GWS.
