The Sydney Swans will be looking to polish their game when they take on the West Coast Eagles at the SCG on Saturday afternoon.

Coming off their first loss of the season against Adelaide in Round 4, the Swans are hoping to bounce back against last year’s grand finalists this weekend.

Defender Jeremy Laidler says his team is looking forward to taking on the Eagles.

“I suppose it is just the finishing touches that we need to touch up in terms of the fine art (of skills),” Laidler told Big Sports Breakfast.

“We need to add a bit of polish going into forward 50 and work on our ball use.

“There are not too many things we need to work on as we think we did a lot of things right, so we will take a lot of positives into this weekend’s clash against West Coast.”

Eagles ruckman Nic Natanui was instrumental the last time these two teams met in Round 17, 2015 winning 41 hit outs along with 12 disposals.

Laidler said it was always an exciting challenge trying to shut down the athletic big man.

“Nic Nat is an outstanding player who hurt us last time so we are going to have to be on top of our game,” Laidler said.

“Hopefully Cal Sinclair gets through training this week and we can have Tippo and Cal line up on him.”

Tickets are selling fast for the ANZAC blockbuster, with the match marking West Coast’s first appearance at the SCG in six years.
