Adelaide hasn't budged at the selection table ahead of Saturday night's semi final at the SCG.

The Crows feel no need to make any alterations to the same 22 which smashed North Melbourne in front of a packed Adelaide Oval crowd in last weekend's elimination final.

Head of Football David Noble told the Crows' website that "winning form was good form" and the playing group was primed following a lighter week on the track.

"We will go to Sydney with confidence," he said. “We’ve given the guys extra massage and recovery sessions have been really paramount. We’ve done a little bit of training this week, but it’s been more of a maintenance program.”

Adelaide should hold no fears for playing at the SCG.

In 17 appearances overall, the Crows have dealt with the shorter and wider oval, compared to their new home at Adelaide Oval and old home at Football Park, to come away with 11 wins and only six losses.

They've won four of those in the past five games but you could go back even further, to 2002, to find where the Crows' ascendancy began.

They defeated the home side in that Round 18 clash by 18 points and have lost only two since then.

One of those includes last year's match-up when the Swans came away with a big win in what was somewhat of a tribute to champion Adam Goodes who sat out that particular game.

The Swans will take a lot away from that game.

Adelaide's strengths aren't just limited to its forward 50 but it seems its multi-dimensional forward line has got everyone talking, especially following Eddie Betts' six-goal haul against the Roos.

Usually, much of the talk in the lead up to a game centres around individual match-ups but the six on six in the Crows' forward half will be the one to watch with both eyes.

Especially given the home side will also need to spread across four players who either are tall or play tall in Taylor Walker, Tom Lynch, Josh Jenkins and Mitch McGovern.

The competition's highest scoring team come up against the competition's most miserly defence. Only time will tell who breaks first with a preliminary final on the line.
