The Swans host West Coast at the SCG on Saturday in the ANZAC Round of the AFL.

The two sides are set to battle it out for the HMAS Sydney II trophy, in memory of the 645 navy personnel who lost their lives when the ship was sunk in a conflict with the German cruiser Kormoran in 1941.

The wreckage of both ships remained undiscovered until 2008, when they were finally located off the coast of Western Australia.

Meanwhile the player judged best on ground in Saturday’s clash will be awarded the annual replica gun shell gallantry trophy and receive a silver HMAS Sydney commemorative coin, minted after the ship’s discovery.
