An excitement machine with the ability to play almost any position on the field Gary Rohan showed his value as a forward during the second half of the 2016 season.

Rohan can take a strong mark overhead, can kick a goal from beyond 50 metres and has pace to burn almost any player in the league.

The 25-year-old missed the start of the season as he was placed on the long-term injury list to overcome a persistent hamstring injury.

It meant his first match of the season came against Hawthorn in Round 9 at the MCG when he finished with three goals from his ten disposals.

He had a career high 25 goals for the season but most of the time it was his pressure around the football to rush defenders that became his biggest asset.

Rohan became an important member of a developing forward line in season 2016 and will be hoping for an uninterrupted start to the 2017 season.

In his own words
“It is probably my most consistent season I have had at the club. I am looking forward to a big pre-season and hopefully taking another step up next year. I took the time on the long term injury list early in the season to make sure my body was right and I think it paid off later in the year.” Gary Rohan on SwansTV
