Sydney Swans live wire Lewis Jetta was back to his attacking best against Port Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
The speedster finished the game with 20 disposals and two goals in an influential performance against the Power.
Jetta got the team on the board with a snap around his body for the first goal of the game before finishing off some great end to end football just before half time to slot his second.
“It was nice, I needed them but I was just in the right place at the right time,” Jetta said.
It was the defensive pressure from the Swans from the very beginning of the game that strangled the Power.
The tackle count at the final siren finished 76-52.
“At the end it came down to gut running and our intensity around the football as well as our pressure,” he said.
“That is what won us the game – we worked hard for four quarters and came away with the win.”
“We worked on our defensive all week and it shows that our defence was there all game and then our offence naturally took care of itself.”
Jetta is pleased with the way he has started his sixth season at the club after playing every game during 2015.
“Fitness wise I am good, injury free and running well so at this stage, two rounds into the season I am feeling good.”
The Swans will now turn their attention to their round three contest against GWS at the SCG next Saturday afternoon.
