WHERE AND WHEN: Blacktown International Sportspark, Saturday March 17, 1pm AEDT
LAST TIME: Sydney Swans 15.16 (106) d Gold Coast 4.12 (36) at Metricon Stadium, round 16, 2011
THE FOUR POINTS
Sydney Swans
1. Adam Goodes is like a bottle of fine wine - he just gets better with age. Goodes has again shown the way for the Swans this pre-season and was brilliant against Essendon last week. But just how much of the load can the 300-gamer carry?
2. John Longmire implored his youngest players to drive their own careers during an impassioned speech at the club's Guernsey Presentation this week. One such young Swan is Daniel Hannebery, who returns to the side against the Suns for his first taste of senior footy in 2012 after knee surgery.
Gold Coast
1. Criticism came the Suns way this week after their loss to GWS in round three. Jared Brennan said the loss rested firmly on the shoulders of the playing group. McKenna has included a host of experienced stars this week, so expect a better performance from the Suns.
2. There were questions about the hype surrounding football prodigy Jaeger O’Meara before the NAB Cup started. That it took barely any time for the youngster to show the hype was warranted has not been missed. O'Meara has been great. The rules state he can't play senior football in 2012, so this will be his last AFL outing until 2013. Get there if you can. You’ll miss him before too long.
