Exciting Sydney Swans forward James Bell is relishing his second pre-season at the Club as he attempts to crack into the senior side.
Bell showed off his explosive pace plying his trade for the Swans NEAFL side during the 2018 season after being recruited onto the rookie list.
As the 19-year-old enters his second pre-season he has joined his younger teammates for a three-day development camp at the Sydney Academy of Sport in Narrabeen.
The importance of performing during the pre-season period is not lost upon the Shell Harbour local.
“It is just important to prepare yourself for it,” Bell said.
“Definitely last year it was a bit of a shock to the system but I had a fair idea of what was going to be coming up so I am feeling real fit at the moment.”
The livewire forward has shown a knack for enjoying getting free and kicking goals bringing an unpredictability to the Swans forward set up.
Bell said he had enjoyed working with senior players to improve his game since returning to the track.
“The way they carry themselves around the club they make it easier to fit in with the group.”
“Being in my second year, I still feel like I am a bit of a leader to the first year players so I am trying to get around them as well.”
