Sydney Swans players experienced some of the oldest markets in the world when they visited Souq Waqif on the first night of their trip to Doha.
Josh Kennedy, Dane Rampe, Luke Parker, Isaac Heeney and Callum Mills headed along to look for a bargain and engage with the locals.
From fabric, spices and perfumes to garden equipment and pets there is so much to explore during a visit to Souq Waqif during the night.
Dane Rampe said he had enjoyed every minute of immersing himself in the culture of Doha.
“It stimulates pretty much all of the sense and I guess that is pretty much what travelling is about and what makes it really exciting.”
“I am overwhelmed with the change of atmosphere and culture.
“You just respect it and that is all part of travelling, to experience the culture that is in Qatar.
“It is really exciting and I am really glad we are here.”
