Mumford trade to GWS completed
The Sydney Swans have acquired current pick 35 in exchange for ruckman Shane Mumford
Mumford, 27, played 79 matches for the Swans, including the club’s 2012 premiership.
He joined the Swans from Geelong at the end of the 2009 season after playing 21 matches for the Cats.
Swans General Manager – Football Dean Moore paid tribute to Mumford and said his contribution to the club had been outstanding.
“Shane is a premiership player, he’s part of history at this club, and will always be welcome back at the Swans,” Moore said.
“A popular member of the playing group, Shane played a key role for the team both on and off the field.
“The club thanks Shane and wishes him all the best for his future at GWS.”
