Sam Reid’s mark in the dying stages of Saturday night’s draw with Fremantle is one of the round eight nominations for the Mark of the Year.

With Docker Michael Johnson’s set-shot for goal falling short, Reid soared from the left of the pack to mark over team mate Mike Pyke and save two competition points for the club as the match ended in a draw.

Reid is up against some stiff competition this week, with fellow high-flyers in West Coast’s Nic Naitanui and Melbourne’s Jeremy Howe his opposition.
