Nick Malceski may have taken out the Brett Kirk Medal in the Sydney Swans 129-win over GWS, but it was fellow half-back and co-captain Jarrad McVeigh who impressed both coaches at the SCG on Sunday.

McVeigh, who collected 35 disposals, 11 marks, six inside 50s and three rebound 50s, received the maximum 10 votes off John Longmire and Kevin Sheedy in the fourth Sydney Derby.

Malceski's efforts weren't far behind, though, as he received the next best with eight votes after gathering 30 possessions, 10 rebound 50s, six marks and five inside 50s.

Dan Hannebery climbed back into the top four of overall voting in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award with six votes after getting 34 touches, 10 inside 50s and three goal assists.

In his 100th game, Craig Bird gained three votes, while Josh Kennedy (two votes) and Mike Pyke (one) rounded out a clean sweep of votes for the Swans.
