The Sydney Swans have named two debutants among an extended squad to face Richmond at the Gabba on Sunday.
Dylan Stephens and Chad Warner will make their debut, after being selected with Sydney’s first and third picks in last year’s draft.
Lewis Melican (groin) and Ben Ronke (back) have been ruled out injured from the side that faced West Coast.
Coach John Longmire said he’s excited to welcome the pair for their first game of AFL.
“It’s good to have them both in the team as it adds a bit of excitement for everyone,” Longmire said.
“Dylan has been fantastic since he got to the club and is a terrific runner, which is his real asset, along with his kicking.
“It’s great to have Chad in the team. He’s hard, he can play a number of different positions whether that is midfield or forward, and he competes at a really high level.”
Lewis Taylor, James Bell, Robbie Fox and Ryley Stoddart have all been added to an extended 26-man squad.
The final team will be announced at 5pm on Friday.
