Swans captain Josh Kenney and ruckman Callum Sinclair polled a near-perfect nine votes in the AFL Coaches Association’s Champion Player of the Year award in the win over Geelong on Saturday.
Kennedy starred with a game-high 33 disposals and came to the fore in the Swans’ fast-finishing final term at GMHBA Stadium, pocketing 13 of his 33 touches and six of his 13 clearances.
His inspirational final-term display led the Swans to a 17-point victory after they had trailed by 22 points at three-quarter time.
Sinclair continued his solid start to the season in recording 39 hit-outs, 18 possessions and six marks.
Jake Lloyd (29 disposals, 10 marks) was strong at half-back and earned three votes for his efforts, while midfielder Isaac Heeney finished with 21 touches and seven tackles to collect one vote.
Cats Tim Kelly (five votes) and Tom Stewart (three) fired for Geelong.
