Exciting Swans youngsters Gary Rohan and Jed Lamb head a list of players set to return from injury in this weekend’s reserves clash against Belconnen.

Club physiotherapist Matt Cameron told SwansTV that Rohan and Lamb had both recovered from their respective hamstring injuries and would take to Manuka Oval this Saturday after getting an extra week of training under their belts during last weekend’s bye.

20-year-old Rohan, the sixth overall pick in the 2009 AFL Draft, will play his first game since injuring his hamstring in the reserves round 14 win over Tuggeranong. The injury was sustained in Rohan’s first competitive game back since undergoing an arthroscope on his knee at the end of May.

Lamb, who re-injured his hamstring in training also at the end of May, will play his first game since booting two goals in the Swans reserves first win over Tuggeranong at a water-logged Lakeside Oval on April 29.

Matt Spangher will also return after recovering from a hamstring injury suffered following his senior debut for the Club against the Gold Coast Suns in round 16.

Brett Meredith will return after missing the week leading into the bye with hamstring tightness.

Cameron said that Andrejs Everitt and Campbell Heath would need to complete Thursday’s final training session in order to be named on the weekend.

“If they can get through training then they’ll be available as well, (but) they may need another week,” Cameron said.

Cameron said that Mike Pyke was not too far away from re-joining the group in full training, while Lewis Johnston (ankle) and Dan Currie (foot) needed a little bit longer in their recovery.
